TRANSGENDER YOUTH
GLYS is here to help youth wherever they are in their journey to find their true selves. For transgender youth, GLYS has a position statement on this journey:

"Because gender identity and gender expression are matters of individual self-determination, GLYS provides programs, spaces, and other resources to help youth explore and discern these aspects of identity.
GLYS does not advise minors on whether, when, and how to transition. Rather it encourages them, as well as their parents and guardians, to seek guidance from licensed medical and mental health professionals in alignment with the Standards of Care promulgated by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the American Psychiatric Association’s DSM-5, and other leading authorities."
