GLYS has a library of current and historic books and resource materials
available. Most materials are focused on/for LGBTQ youth, however, we do
have some materials for younger children and for parents of LGBTQ+
children/youth. We will be happy to provide you with suggestions from our
library/resource center when you contact us.
If you would like a list of behavioral, medical and other available services, please call our office at 716-855-0221. While GLYS does NOT make referrals or endorse other practitioners or socail services, we maintain a list of practitioners and allow GLYS participants to evaluate their experience in order to maintain an LGTBQ+-friendly list.
GLYS staff and volunteers have worked with the Buffalo and Erie County
Public Library system and with librarians in middle and high schools
throughout Western New York for the past few years on including LGBTQ+
materials in the libraries and to make these materials available to the public.
Many titles are now available as eBooks, audiobooks, and CDs as well as
physical print and video materials. Contact your local library, bookseller or school to find out what they have available.
Please visit GLYS during office hours to review and check-out resources. We also have printed brochures about our programs available for you.
